My name is Milton Otema Anyanga, I have been a student of Public Speaking Uganda particularly 37th intake. Although I had a Ph.D. in my field, I had problems making public speeches. Even my boss identified that I have weakness in this area. This prompted me to look for help. When I enrolled for PSU and just mid way the program there was remarkable visible transformation. My eye-contact, guests and voice control had already become a selling point. I am now able to start a presentation strong and end it strong. This will help me to excel in my career from now on wards. I will recommend my colleague with whom I work to enrol for the next intake of this program. I am indeed grateful to Dr. Denis Akankunda Bwesigye, the MD of PSU that during the sessions enabled me to discover the hidden giant within myself. I can say forward ever, backward never.
The course was life-changing for me. I learned techniques of making a great speech/presentation, how to keep the audience interested, and pass on clearly the message.
Now with my new set of skills, I am out to achieve my goals as a career woman.
What a treasure I found in PSU!!!, at first I struggled all by myself to figure out how best I can improve on my speech presentation. I tried out with the YouTube tutorials and I kept on going through the same anxieties!.
I kind of gave up and almost said probably I was made to be like that, I saw a post on Facebook about PSU and I applied without any hope of a Pennie coz I badly needed it. What I found at PSU was an amazing experience, discovery, learning, that didn’t leave me the same.
A message to people out there, I advise you to get out of your comfort (YouTube/Google) and step out into the practical world, it is way different. I always thought Uncle google had it all but no, PSU has got it all. It was a humbling experience. All I can say Thank you Dr.Dennis Akankunda.
